K-Gr 2-Nelson offers simple facts in easy-to-understand sentences, from bees taking the nectar from flowers to their hives to a beekeeper collecting, bottling, and selling the honey. In the second title, the process is described from a tiny egg laid on a leaf to the stages of a caterpillar molting as it grows, becoming a pupa, and, eventually, emerging as a butterfly. The texts are basic enough for beginning readers, or could be used for paired reading since there is one short sentence and then longer ones that go into more detail on each page. A full-color photo faces each page of text. These books provide excellent visuals.-Sandra Welzenbach, Villarreal Elementary School, San Antonio, TX
